Ilia Osokin is a multi-instrumental composer working between Paris and Berlin and living in Luxeuil-les-Bains.

After an initial career as a cellist in Russia and the United States, followed by training in music theory and conducting in France, he fully dedicated himself to composition. His eclectic universe is expressed freely through works blending classical and hybrid instruments with modular synthesizers.

Driven by boundless curiosity, he pushes beyond the limits of traditional musical systems. His first commission, an invitation from Agnès Roux for Le Logoscope in Monaco, marked the beginning of his personal journey as a composer. His work explores a non-linear approach to music, inspired by the organic world.

Alongside his research, he composes for cinema and the stage, creating immersive soundscapes where stories unfold through sound. His music, at the intersection of electro, neoclassical, and ambient, is influenced by artists such as Alva Noto, Biosphere, Nils Frahm, and Ryuichi Sakamoto.

Ilia Osokin also composes for film, performances by visual artists, advertising videos, choreographic works, graphic novels, and his own concerts.
