It is an honor for me to be able to accompany the story of this extraordinary personality that is Kader Abdolah. Director Fabrizio Polpettini's decision to shoot this film on film aroused in me the desire to compose entirely original and acoustic music, devoid of any electronic influence.

For this, I decided to adopt a unique approach using prepared instruments, in order to create a unique sound palette. For example, when discussing Kader Abdolah's life as a writer, I prepared my piano by placing papers on the strings and using a mute, which allows me to imitate the sound of a typewriter. This combination of sounds creates a captivating mix with the timbres of a zither or even a harpsichord.

I am deeply touched by this film and its subject which addresses the themes of exile and migration, subjects which are dear to me. My intention is to bring viewers closer to the real sounds, of the instruments I play during the recording, in order to create intimacy with the story and immerse the audience in the world inhabited by Kader Abdolah.
